OPEN TO ANOTHER WEREWOLF !!
Ramona loved Astronomy because the sky was vast and mysterious and she had a feeling it held more secrets than any human knew. She had her own secrets too and the subject of Astronomy was helpful in helping her hide her secret. The brunette kept a careful watch on the moon’s cycles. Sure, it might seem repetitive and boring to other astronomers, but she had her reasons. She needed to track the full moons so she could venture out to the forbidden forest. Her brown eyes had been looking through her telescope every night and tracking the moon’s phases for the past three nights. Tonight would be the night, she was sure of it.
She prepared in advance for the night by packing a small bag of things she’d need for the night and in the morning. Extra clothes, bottled water, a vial of wolfsbane, etc. Sadly, it wasn’t her first time preparing for the monster she’d turn into during the full moon. It was a curse she never asked for and one she didn’t want to bestow on anyone else. She was careful to keep to herself and she felt lucky to be a Hufflepuff whenever she snuck out. However, she had a nice excuse to use as the COMC TA.
It wasn’t an excuse she intended to use except if she got caught.
Her plan was to leave the dinner feast early, which was easy enough. The brunette slipped into the dorms to retrieve her bag and took off towards the front doors. The air was crisp now that night had fallen. Ramona knew she needed to hurry so she sprinted across the lawns and didn’t stop until she was hidden in the trees. She kept moving deeper into the forest until she felt she was safely away from the castle. The sixth year didn't want to risk any younger students finding her in the forest.
The moon was rising and she could feel the tension in her body. She quickly took the vial of wolfsbane from her bag and drank it. Then, she stored the bag behind a tree before the first crack happened. It was always the bones in her toes that broke first, as her feet grew in length and width. She couldn’t stifle the scream from her lips as the pain travelled up her spine. Her knees buckled and she fell to the forest floor as her body continued to rearrange her bones. The worst part was her ribs cracking to expand her chest cavity, which caused another scream to fall from her lips. Her nose was the last part of her body to break as it grew into a snout and hair grew all over the young girl’s body until the transformation was complete. A low howl fell from her snout as the wolf’s eyes glanced up towards the moon. The wolf looked around in the dark before walking through a few trees in search of a nice, quiet place to rest.
