TAG: Roxie Henderson
Elizabeth believed Valentine's Day in the way teenagers believed in Christmas. As a good excuse to blow off steam and do something out of the ordinary, but in the end, there was no magic. No great surprises. Nothing that would change the course of history.
Which is why when a housemate with an agreeable smile suggested a picnic, Elizabeth had immediately written it off as silliness rather than a real date. Besides, the girl was of lesser blood and must have known that wasn't going to work out long term. Elizabeth had made her feelings on blood status known from her first day in Gryffindor, making some long-standing enemies along the way. But Roxie low-key claimed to believe in the ideals of the Death Eaters and Elizabeth was willing to give her a chance. Maybe not enough of a chance to bring her home to her elitist parents, who would not find this little outing amusing in the slightest, but a chance none the less.
As second years, they weren't able to leave the grounds which left them with more limited options then some of their classmates, but there was always the clock tower. Elizabeth was banking on most students being too lazy to climb that many stairs as her feet trudged on, one after the other, with a picnic basket of stolen food hung over her arm.
She better appreciate this, Elizabeth selfishly thought to herself at the final stair before stepping out onto the landing with the breathtaking views of the Hogwarts grounds before her. Then she put a smile on her face. If she was doing this, as friends or a date or whatever, then she was going to do it right. Not sense doing anything halfway.
