Karis isn't your average Slytherin. In fact, she's not average at all. A brilliant intellectual, always up for a little fun, and not afraid to speak her mind, Karis is every house rolled into one. But just because she doesn't mind lending a helping hand to those who need it does not mean she's an easy target, a pushover, or easily manipulated. Cross her and it just might be the last thing you ever do. No, killing isn't quite in her nature, but you best believe you won't be walking away unscathed.

Having been born a Furie, a creature marked by their easy anger and natural lust for justice against those who have done wrong, Karis is far from forgiving. Until recently, Karis lived out her life doing whatever she could to control her anger and keep what she was a secret. It wasn't until she fell for her best friend Maps Evremonde did she trust anyone with the nature of her true identity. Though, having a vampire boyfriend makes life a lot easier. How could he not understand?

Grateful for being able to be herself with someone else and knowing she'd never be judged made her life a lot less stressful and far less complicated...

...Until she confessed her feelings for him. For a long while she worked to convince him of her unconditional, eternal love and finally he accepted her. After much persuasion, he turned her. Now Karis lives out her days looking toward the horizon and her ongoing forever with the boy who stole her heart away.

My name is Ashley and, to be honest, I'm not fond of it. It's too common. A friend of mine calls me Bess (which is an Old English nickname for Elizabeth) and I tend to introduce myself as Bess these days. I am 18, born June 20, 1990 in Pennsylvania and I've been an HOS member for over 5 years, March 6, 2004.

In high school I participated in several extra-curricular activities; Marching band, Jazz band, Concert band, Pep band, Combined band, County band, District band, District Jazz band, Chorus, District Chorus, Combined Chorus, Drama club [Vice President], SADD, Clef Club, French Club, Newspaper staff, Yearbook staff, CCW [A writing club], and participated in several school talent shows as a performer and on the staff.

I'm currently out of school and planning to move, eventually, to La Quinta, California. These plans seem to keep getting put off. After at least 6 months of residency there, however, I will be attending college. I'm not sure for what just yet, but whatever it is, I plan to do my absolute best. I'd like to find a job I love.
