[ The Grand Entrance ] category. If you would like to take one of the many classes offered at HOS, and keep track of house points with the
[ House Point Hourglasses ].

HOS is 5 years old, has over 200 boards, 3,000 members, and teaches many magical subjects so don't hesitate to check out the
[ Student Services ] for questions, or contact Headmistress Masters or a Deputy Head.

New Members can get specialized help from an HOS Crew Member who is there to be a friend and mentor so please check out the

Deadly Plague Spreads Through Hogwarts:

Not much is known about this ancient plague, though some theorize it was purposely created. Reports speculate that the Death Eaters plot to eliminate all magical forces of the world, beginning with Hogwarts School, in an effort to gain power, but is this really the case?

Sources report the current Order Leader, Karis Kaotic, might also be involved. Nasty rumor or cold, hard truth? Could our good girl have finally snapped? And if the rumors are true...is she being controlled by the Death Eater leader, Katarina Summers?

Well the Daily Prophet has the dirty truth! In an 'off the record' interview with the Minister of Magic (Off the record, yes. But we're the Daily Prophet! We do whatever we want!), it was divulged to the Daily Prophet that Katarina Summers and Karis Kaotic have been spotted on multiple occasions lurking about Knockturn Alley carrying dark bags of what are believed to be ingredients.

Ingredients to make a delicious pumpkin pie, or to create a leathal weapon strong enough to eliminate the competition? You be the judge. But my money is on the second. Watch out, Carrie Masters! Those girls just might be after your title!

Of course, the Minister is convinced there is no danger.

"We do not believe there is anything to worry about," the Minister said late Saturday night when the first outbreak was reported. "Stiff joints and headaches aren't enough to diagnose a plague. The Ministry is dealing with no more than an outbreak of the flu! We have Aurors keeping a close eye on Miss Summers and Miss Kaotic, as well. So rest assured, if any mischief were afoot, we'd catch it first!"

Ha! Flu, indeed.

Katarina Summers and Karis Kaotic are taking over as the evil on HOS for the next couple of months. Because of some spell fluke both of them have decided to kill off everyone so that they will be in charge. This includes both of their followers. Death Eaters and Order members are encouraged to work together during these couple months to help stop Karis and Katarina from destroying both ways of life. No longer is it about Mudbloods and Muggles vs. Pureblood supremacy. It is about staying alive and saving the world.

Members will receive PMs randomly if they have gotten the virus via Karis Kaotic. If you get a PM just follow the directions and enjoy!

Anna is a very introverted person - she finds it a little difficult to truly trust other people, and tends to keep her feelings very much to herself. She is easily swayed by the opinions of others, and tends to find herself following the crowd rather than standing on her own two feet. Also a little ditsy, it could be said that she has the memory of a mountain troll, though the brains of a hawk.

Since you've joined how have you been treated on the site?
Pretty good ^^

When it comes to Role Playing what do you think your weaknesses might be? How about your strengths?
My main weakness would probably be getting enthused enough to have a good length post.

    Tell us a little about your character:
    Kicker Bay's/ Trent is a not much open to people, she is a little - very little - egoistic but that doesnt bother people much. She was not exactly satisfied by her family, she felt they were not supportive and that she was not comfortable being in a muggle mask with them, so she ran out of her house at the age of sixteen slowly progressing her way to Hogwarts. Since the age of nine, she has been experiencing weird dreams of a young lady whom she seems to know pretty well but hasnt met her ever in her life. The girl in the dream is supposed to be her previous birth but she hasn't figured it out yet. She was not bold enough to talk it out to her mother or father and so she kept it to herself feeling insecure day by day. She would be the kinds of loser in her school days and would never have real friends. So making her guitar and drum her friends of life, she keeps herself happy! But maybe if she ever feels like a winner, she could change herself from not being emotional and feeling like somebody cared for her.

    Since you've joined how have you been treated on the site?
    I havent at all got quick/enough replies to my Plot Plan threads and Character Plots. I have no clue how i could make people know me and how i make friends for my charrie. But i think competing in the RPG Competition of this month and striving for a MOTM Award would help x) (i think.)

    When it comes to Role Playing what do you think your weaknesses might be? How about your strengths?
    I have been here before though, and i had an excellent character here but i don't want to open the secret of who is behind this mask. I'm good at roleplay but i could always get better. So i learn from people who can do it better than me. But i'm not so weak that i need roleplay lessons and guidelines, no.

Tell us a little about your character: Hmmm...He's secretly a half-blood,and the only people who know are his mother, him and his biological father. Everyone else thinks he's pure as spring water. He's quiet, and shy, but quite creative. He's a singer and a songwriter, plus a talented guitarist. He has a fondness for "Muggle Tech" like his iPod and MacBook, both expertly hidden. He lives with his Aunt Ellie in London but was born and raised in Aspen, Colorado.
Since you've joined how have you been treated on the site?Fine and dandy, actually. So far everyone's been really nice.
When it comes to Role Playing what do you think your weaknesses might be? How about your strengths?
I can crank out about 300 to 382 words per post and I'd like to get that up just a bit more. I personally can't think of anything else, but someone might find something iffy, I guess, later on.

But my weaknesses would probably be that my posts can seem a bit wordy to me and I'm not 100% on what this plot planning thing is. I'd like to learn about that and just become a better roleplayer overall.

    Tell us a little about your character: Anna was raised and born in Poland. She was born as a child of "mixed" blood. Her father being a wizard and her mother being a muggle. Anna has already picked up her wand, and she has a pet (an Australian Masked Owl) named Ellie. Anna is sixteen and likes to think of herself as an artist of sorts. She loves philosophy and hopes to make new friends in Hogwarts.

    I've been treated with extreme kindness.
    When it comes to Role Playing what do you think your weaknesses might be? How about your strengths?:
    Well, I think my main weakness is the fact that I've never done a HP roleplay before. All I've ever done in the past is pretty much summed up as alien robots and mythical creatures. My friends irl got me to join this site (since I was partially curious as to what they were so excited about). So here I am. An inexperienced HP rolepalyer.
    However, I am an experienced roleplayer. I've been roleplaying Transformers for two years now, and started roleplaying random stuff about four to five years ago. So I do know how to rp... just not HP.
